Join Sustainable Jersey on March 23rd at Garden State GreenFest!
“How Towns can Save Money and Energy and Implement Sustainable Jersey Energy Actions” – March 23 at 11:00 AM
Randall Solomon (Co-Director, Sustainable Jersey) will provide an overview of the energy “actions” in the Sustainable Jersey program which help towns to save money and energy and earn points toward their certification.
A representative from the NJ Board of Public Utilities will provide information about programs that help towns to understand the best approaches to implement energy savings actions.
“Your School As A Learning Opportunity for Energy Conservation”- March 23 at 1:00 PM
This session will provide an overview of the School Energy Conservation actions in the Sustainable Jersey Program. It will introduce you to two programs, “Schools for Energy Efficiency” and “See the Light” which utilize benchmarking and education to change behavior and promote a culture of energy conservation, at school and at home. Gray Russell, Montclair’s Environmental Coordinator will discuss how his school helped educate students about Clean Energy Programs. Participants will also learn about ways to fund Energy Savings Improvement Plans, and about exciting new initiatives, the NJ Sustainable Schools Consortium and Green Ribbon Schools. Panelists also include: Winnie Fatton, Project Manager, Sustainable Jersey; John Henry, EIRC “Sustainable Schools Consortium and Green Ribbon Schools”; and Robbi Acampora, Sustainable Jersey.

The 5th Annual Garden State GreenFest is taking place March 23-24, 2012 at Kean University in Union NJ. Robert Kennedy Jr. will be speaking on Saturday, March 24.
